Netgear JNR3000 N300 Gigabit Router  (Single Band)

I order this for my parent.
Product is good, got good speed on Wifi.

But the installation CD did not work on the Window 7 laptop. I did not get the option for auto installation. I stay in abroad, so i took the remote of the machine and tried to install, option was not displayed. Somehow i used the new netgear application to configure router.

I moved from WGR614v7 to JNR3000. Apart from the 54Mbps to 300Mbps, there are quite a few features which over time the newer generation routers support - like multiple SSIDs, twin-channel communication, better manageability - parental control, and of course technical benefits with a gigabit lan.

One drawback though - WGR614v7 had a 2dbi external antenna. JNR3000 is supposed to have a 5dbi internal antenna. While the range is not drastically different, but it certainly is slightly reduced as ...

Wow ! Flipkart gave me lightening fast delivery at Kandivli, Mumbai. This router reached me in excellent condition in just 24 hrs. after placing the order. I am yet to install it and work with it, but appears to be a masterpiece ! That too with the rock bottom price, it's a deal which is a steal (now the price has gone up)! even though i m using it..i would suggest u to try a router with an antenna ...cuz wifi range is not that strong ...if u want range router then go for dual antenna

initially had issues with speed with respect to wifi ...
was not getting any speed on wifi ...where as i was getting the full burst on the wired device
laptop\desktop

called the netgear customer support ....they were very helpful
asked me if i was using any other wireless device ...yes

I bought this product after doing great research on available products... If you are planning to buy a router for home, this is the best one... Netgear products are reliable compared to others. This latest product provides better range... i have a house with 7 rooms..it works fine with GTPL broadband (DSL Network). Perhaps it supports ADSL also but modem may require. I don't know whether it includes internal antenna or not? but believe me range is promising.

Dont go for this router --

1) Didnt worked with YOU Broadand. Could not Auto- negotiation with 1000 Ethernet WAN connection. My Older DLINK router auto-negotiated 1000 Link.
Lots of issues with connecting through PPPOE connection have to upgrade firmware to latest still didnt work.


2) Poor build quality


3) Too much brigh LED.

The product was functioning very good. we can set two firewalls in it one is the netgear firewall and the other thing is the opendsn firewall as it's easy to configure with netgear and can be modified from other location.
