This router is one of the best routers below 1500 bucks. the other routers are Wireless G routers while this one is a Wireless N, which does increase the signal strength. Attached it to BSNL adsl(dataone) modem.

to setup the modem easily,

Don't connect the router right away, before that, keep the connection as it is(modem connected to PC), open the router setup page and ensure that all the connection types are Bridges.

then proceed to connection of modem and router(via WAN,blue) and router...

Its a nice router under 1500. Setup may become a little messy if your modem and router have the same ip address which in my case was. The solution of this problem was to change the ip of either one of the devices. I also contacted the support for the resolution of the problem and they gave me the following go-through steps to resolve this issue:

A definite value for money product but I think I should have bought a router which has more stronger signal lengths. Good for a home with about 2000 sq ft. area (leaving the extreme corners the signal length is good thou could have been gr8 in a high end router may be).

If you are looking for something in this range ideally this should be the best buy...good looking and sleek as well and very easy to setup. Would rate flipkart 5 stars for speedy delivery and excellent packaging !!

Product works as advertised. Its a basic router with decent signal strength. Setup was a breeze.

Had received a defective product which did not work(was not pinging). Appreciate flipkart for their prompt action in replacing the product.

Well at this price point there is only one more router which can give Netgear any competition which is Belkin.
Hats off to Flipkart for their express delivery. Am really very impressed with the service of Flipkart.

Now coming to the product, I purchased it last week and since then has been using it quite nicely.

Range is average I have installed it in my bedroom in a 2BHK house and can access it in my living room though with one strand missing in the signal strength icon, but still it works...

I'm using for my Samsung Galaxy S Advance and it's working very well. I get the same speed what I get on my pc. but about signal I'm not satisfied.
I have 2BHK home and my router is in my bedroom and when I use net in drawing room then it gives only 20% signal.
But Still I'm happy :)

First talking of NETGEAR, the JNR1010 v2 router has a superb wifi range(70-80 m through walls and even higher). But this v2 version DOES NOT come with an ETHERNET CABLE and CD. Installation is not as Easy as mentioned, but it takes time and Patience. The NETGEAR GENIE is great.I am successful in putting it up.They also provide the router with a PLASTIC PROTECTIVE CASE for the indicator lights. THERE IS NO EXTERNAL POWER BUTTON (not essential actually).

It is a very genuine product.if u r buying a router for ur personal use .. dont buy the one with two antennas .. one itself is enough and has a very long range. Kudos to netgear !! ð???
