Good book and more practice tests compared to baroons of official guide

Good test prep book, not many practice questions though.
Around 120 for verbal and quant each.
Quant is better in Barrons, Verbal better in this book as compared to new Barrons.
Explanations to all answers-good.

Very helpful

The book is really helpful in understanding the format and question types. Verbal and Writing part is well discussed; However, it seriously lacks in providing a versed practice for quantitative section. CD & MSTs provided with the book are really good tools to hone the skills. It is no surprise that your average of five MSTs will be your final GRE score. Ultimately - Recommended for Verbal / Writing / Sample papers but not for Quant.

Efficient

This book is quite nice for the new GRE. The maths section isn't very concise, but for English, its pretty great.

I'd still recommend going over the actual word list from Barrons old books, but this is good too.

Must buy!

I have been studying from this book and I must say that it has made vocab section pretty easy.

Indices in this book are very helpful and the strategies for solving problems are brilliant; bolsters your confidence and keeps you glued to this book.

Math section had pretty easier problems compared to the actual ETS guide. Nevertheless, great book and a must buy!

Good luck!

Bought this an year back

I'd bought this an year back for a friend. and from her response, all I can say is it is a very good book for GRE. I myself hadn't given the GRE, so can't comment about its direct usefulness. But AFAIK my friend had relied on this a lot and had found the questions in this book to be of the apt difficulty. I'm rating it a 4 for it.
I'd suggest to go to amazon and read the reviews there since it has a worldwide base of active users who review the books in a very detailed manner.

Okayish book

Verbal sections is decent. Word lists are good. Math section is not good at all. It doesn't even cover the syllabus properly. (like basic permutation and combination is not introduced. Though you'll find questions on them in the test. They try to skip introducing math concepts, and focus on problem solving rather than using maths formulae and techniques, which is silly, unless you didn't have math in +2 level.) I've to now search the internet to revise basic math.
