Q:which lens is better for blur and bookah?
A:If you are just looking for bokeh then the NIKKOR 50mm AF-S is slightly better than this one. But the advantage of 35mm is that it gives you wider angle to shoot and less zoomed out image.

    Q:Does this suit 3500d
A:Yes it does and it will be a good prime lens to add to the kit. your low light photography will improve and the 35mm is wide enough on a DX body like the d3500 to be used as a all round travel lens.
