I was very much happy , when I got the camera in my hand because Flipkart packing was so good, there was no chance of getting damage while shipping it.I got 4+4 rechargeble batteries, charger,camera pouch as free accessories. Different shooting modes helps a amateur photographer like me to click a good picture.Flash helps to take a clear picture even in a dark room where i cant see anything with my naked eye. 30 optical zoom gives unbelievable results.

the best among bridge cameras ranging. 10-15 k..(sny h200,cnn sx500..etc..)
but low light images are not so far good u cant xpct more at this price range..but day lght images are very good.. iam impressed :D

Got this camera about 6 months back from flipkart. Received the delivery in 3 days.. good packing.

I have used the camera for many shoots till now from 7 day long trek to day tours. I have never required to adjust any image with picture editors since they were simply great in colors, light, contrast. With so many picture shoots who has time to edit pictures unless you want to add any special effects to look more artistic.

Also, video quality is extremely great, clear and works well with 30x...

i bought this one last month and it's amazing.... especially powerful zoom makes it easy to shoot far objects with a great experience......

The delivery was perfect and as usual no complaints with the packaging or Flipkart's service. This is my first camera and its awesome ! Everything works perfectly and you can take amazing pictures with this . The best shooting mode I like is the portrait mode . If you are an amateur photographer with an ambition to make it big just go for it

The only advantage of having Canon IS500 is that it gives you the scope of so called "manual focus".
Trust me, when I tried manual focus on IS500, it was just for namesake and not satisfactory. It does not give you good depth of field when you are using manual focus.
Compare it with Nikon Coolpix L820.
L820 gives you sharper images while IS500 gives you brighter colours.
Moreover for a lesser price, L820 has got a far better LCD than IS500, helpful while clicking a photo according to your nee...

After comparing this model with various other brands models I have selected this camera. My primary requirement was maximum optical zoom and mega pixel. I bought this camera 2days back. I love its features and it is a best camera at this budget range. I got it for Rs 13990 - 10% Standard Chartard Credit card cash back.
But the battery charger I got with this camera is making small noise. What should I do?
