This is the best dslr within this price range, pictures are really nice with brilliant colors. Tried macro with the kit lens result is satisfactory, but dedicated macro lenses will give you perfect result. 16 mp of the camera is enough to get good clear picture. Once you will get to manage full manual mode, u'll start loving this dslr. Some must have lenses with this dslr are 35 mm prime, 50 mm prime, 55-2...

It's still early days but the bottom line is I'm beginning to like this camera with every passing day. A DSLR has always been very intimidating for me, considering all the buttons and lenses and then the refinements of the settings etc. BUT having dedicated a day to reading the manual very carefully and watching around 5 videos on Youtube about setting it up, i've zeroed in on the basics i need to keep in mind.
