Good ergonomics and grip. Battery lasts for 400-425 shots, more than enough for a day’s shoot.
18-55mm lens is wide enough to cover day to day photography.
Go for a prime lens for portrait photography along with the camera.
Go through the tutorial of 5300d online before proceeding, includes many tips and tricks to make better use of the camera.
