Good, but...

After using both the Canon 60d and Nikon D7000 for about 2 weeks each, I must admit, it is increasingly difficult to distinguish between the two. Similarly priced with a difference of about 4k with the Canon 60D and 18-135 IS lens, and a similar specs sheet. Ergonomically feels the same as well. But, it is worth noting, that the D7000 does have a few flaws, compared to the Canon 60D.

1. The 60D has an articulated screen. Simply, it can tilt and swivel, much like a handycam. Also, I felt that...

Awesome DSLR..!!

Hi Guys,

Nikon D7000 is a great upgrade from one of the best DSLR by Nikon - D90. I never thought they would come up with such a great product which is in between D90 and D300. Twin memory, great battery life - You can shoot whole day by charging the battery only once. Great image quality. I love RAW shooting. I like the placement of exposure and focus lock button. The grip is amazing.

There is no doubt that this is a fantastic piece of photographic engineering. It’s has a huge array of fea...

Superior DSLR camera from Nikon

I was using one of my friend's dslr (Nikon d5000) quite often during various trips we had since last 3 years now and by the time thought to have my own one with the same brand, previously my mind settled with Nikon D90 but last I finalize Nikon D7000 as my first dslr camera with kit lense of AF-S 18-105 mm from flipkart. After this buy and use of almost 4 weeks now, I can define it as one of the best dslr camera from Nikon. Here are the few points I like to share with you.

1. An excellent ha...

Best Camera in its range

Flipcart gave an excellent delivery experience on this one.

On this camera - well - if you are confused between this one and D90. The D7000 probably is a tad better for low light photography.
Plus the dual memory cards is surely an advantage - RAW in one and JPEG in another. Weather proof - not sure how important that is for anyone but for me it was important. The Magnesium alloy at the back and top - that is to give some peace of mind when you knock around the camera around tables and othe...

GO for it if you cant afford D7100

I had damaged my 3 year old Nikon D5100’s sensor and had to buy a new camera. D7100 is too expensive and I wanted a pro like body to go ahead from where I had started 4 years ago. Considering cheaper price of D7000 and cash back offer I decided to go for it.

In the same price range Nikon D5300 having built in wifi and GPS, is also a very good option but the controls are inside the Menu of camera unlike D7000 where all the major controls are in dials and buttons which helps advance photograp...

Awesome camera...

Brilliant camera.... Just upgraded from a Nikon D3100 which I had for almost 3 yrs and learnt a lot. Am really impressed by this upgrade. This is for those who have gone beyond entry-level and are willing to explore more and are looking for a bit extra but don't want to shed out a sack full of money. If you have the extra cash do go for the D7100.... its an upgraded model but with that one drawback which is the buffer which causes the burst speed to suffer. Other than that it is a better mode...

Excellent Images In Both Low-Light and Day-Light Shots

I've been using this baby since 5 months now and i must admit that she has never failed to impress! The images are stunning and have a great depth (needs some time time to get used to the manual mode though...) provided your focus is spot-on during the manual shooting. The low-light images are excellent - above par any camera in the same league.

The weather proofing on the camera is also excellent. I tested the same in the extreme hot and sultry outdoors ... at the end of the day all you hav...

A good choice for LOW LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY :)

Don't think much if you loves low light photography this will help you to shoot in low light with out a flash.Go for D7000... Am using a 50mm 1.8D lens. Clarity is mind-blowing and more important to me is satisfaction, Yes am very satisfied with the results given by the camera. I don't know much about photographic techniques. Exposure metering provided is a great help for me. It helps me to set the shutter speed and aperture settings in manual mode. Battery life is excellent. In low light als...
