I was considering to buy the ML-L3 for my D5200, appreciating the fact that I shoot at night a lot of times. However, the ML-L3 DOES NOT give you full control of your shutter. It allows you only two dedicated modes for it's very own hardware.

Its been a year since I am using it extensively for my pano and long exposure shots and never has it failed me! The original battery still works and the product is sturdy in build quality. I had to buy it from Flipkart as it wasn't available in my city Lucknow.

Go for it or the MC-DC2 wireless remote, They both do the same work anyway.

A good product to start off for amateurs better than the expensive digital ones.

A must have product for low light photographers. Works as expected with my Nikon D3200. Half way press for auto-focus, full for releasing the shutter. Also has a lock feature for exposures greater than 30s in the bulb mode (which is the reason i bought it).
