The Wireless technology like lighting system, remotes, etc. supported by Nikon is simple and price justified.
Think this works for all DSLR after D70 and D40x or 2007.

I bought this last week and it is useful if you want to take self portrait or group photos. If you are taking low light photos using tripod and want to avoid camera shake, use this remote to trigger the camera.

This is a really great product. Without it the DSLR is incomplete.
People might think , self timer is there. Why to buy a remote.
In timer mode, the focus wont change.
With remote, the auto focus works..

A tripod is also a must to make the best use of the remote.

Very good product. Very much useful at night and low light photographs. useful combo with tripod. Easy settings and the auto focus works the same way as you click. Realized how useful when i was clicking my apartment photo's at 10 PM yesterday. Every DSLR owners should have this one. My Nikon D5100 can be operated both front and back side. You should buy this if you want to take the below photo's
1) Self Portraits - Easier than self timer.

The product is an excellent little gem with adequate range. Easy to operate and helps with much needed vibration reduction.
I had read that it won't work in-front of the camera; but it does wonderfully so. I have tried it with the portrait range (8 ft) and it works.
At this price it is a steal!

This is a very useful remote from Nikon. It is simply amazing and works wonders with my D5100. The best thinbg about this is that it focuses before every shot which makes it just like the camera shutter button.
