Great all-rounder camera

I bought this camera mainly for my parents. Well, selected, actually--they paid for it :) There's already an SLR in the house, so the reasoning behind buying this camera was that there should be a camera in the family that's light and compact enough to be carried around easily everywhere. Yes, the price is well into the entry-level SLR territory, and SLRs do seem more attractive for a lot of reasons, some valid, some not. Excellent pics, but poor electronics. Avoid.

I have been using this since June 2014, and I have to say that I reach for this more than any of my other cameras.
PROS-
1. Superlative Image Quality- in spite of having a small sensor, the sharpness and fine detail excel, and approaches that of a DSLR with a good macro prime lens, which is saying something. In spite of having only 12MP, it is possible to crop into the image and still come out with impressive levels of detail.
