The Coolpix S6100 is an ultra slim compact digital camera from Nikon. S6100 has a 16 megapixel CCD sensor with dimension of 1/2.3-inch. The camera supports aspect ratio of 16:9 and is capable of shooting HD video. The unique feature of this Coolpix camera is the ultra slim 1.1-inch body, which makes the camera easy to carry around.

This Nikon Coolpix camera weighs 175 g (with battery and memory card) and has dimension of 97.9 x 58.0 x 26.6 mm. The S6100 has a 3-inch TFT LCD touchscreen monitor with anti-reflection coating, and has resolution of 460,000 dot pixels. This Coolpix camera has 20 MB of internal memory, which can be further extended using external memory card such as SD, SDHC and SDXC. The Nikon S6100 comes with rechargeable EN-EL12 Li-ion battery and can take up to 210 pictures or can shoot 1 hr 30 min of HD video per charge.

The camera has optical zoom of 7x and digital zoom of 4x. The Contrast Detection Auto Focus can focus at 9 points and has range of 50 cm (Normal) and 3 cm (Macro).
