It will give one the most pleasurable moments, enough to make one smile, in his/her severe melancholy. I like the author and all his writings, that I have read over the years. Ruskin Bond's writing has always been easy on the reader and very enjoyable, and this book is no different. It has many short stories that beautifully describe the most mundane things in the most fascinating of ways. His love for nature and his quiet life set the tone for the writing. Read it one story at a time, and you may find yourself taken away to a different world where the pace of life is slower and joy is found in the little things. It has been a very delightful and peace inducing read.
