Balaguruswamy Rockss All The Way
Must have for all beginners for strong basic concepts formation in C++. Concepts are explained carefully with examples in a very lucid language.
I was hell afraid of C++ having learned it while I was bed ridden with diseases for 3-4 months. But Balaguruswamy helped me clear my conceptions and foundations very easily. I felt as if I was learning C++ for the first time in my life. Balaguruswamy Rocks All The Way.

Flipkart got me delivered this book in 3 days. I read the the first chapter and I find everything descriptive. Colored pages makes reading this book more Interesting.E Balagurusamy done an excellent job.

First of all Congratulations to Flipkart for providing the product before due date lightning fast delivery. next moving on to the packaging it was quite good. No introduction fir this book required as it is generally recommended in every college but I would also recommend Programming with C by D Ravichandran. I found that book even better but I needed this book as per college course curriculum so I bought it.

Simple - Which is Somewhat Enough
C++ seems somewhat harder while learning than other languages.
This book simplifies those complications by teaching you with the basics. It's better than the online resources available out there. So chances are, you'll need a copy of this one.
Buy it (Don't forget to search for cheaper option on other sites though).

Awesome book for intermediate programmer..
Awesome book for intermediate but not for beginner. There are many references for previous C book of E Balaguruswamy hence not for beginner. If you are going from C to C ..it is awesome book. And intermediate programmer who want to know C new 11 standard it is great book.
But book is printed in pink color thats why hate it while reading,, hence 4 stars but if you are girl nothing to worry...

I'll prefer this book for c++.

Highly recommended
It's a great book, stuff is clearly explained. If you have prior Programming experience with C or Python this is for you. If you don't have any Programming experience don't go for this book. Every explanation in this book is somewhere linked to C so you should know some basic concepts like what is a loop, variables, class, objects etc.
Conclusion: It's not for someone who is beginning Programming from scratch.

For beginners interested in C++
It's a very good book for C++ beginners. Prior knowledge of C will make things easier for you. There are many sample C++ programs to cement the theory learned. After going through this book, you can move to other advanced C++ book for further learning or you can just explore further on the internet.
The author also contrasts C++ with C from time to time to help us understand the difference b/w the two.
