Good read...but too short..
Some one wants to go back to historic times in US of A....will find interesting....A good books to start of especially if you are going to read your first John Steinbeck novels

Emotional
i've felt a variety of emotions when i've read books. They range from happy to sad to indignant to empathy. But never have i felt the need to let the tears flow after reading a story. This book takes you through a journey across a vast stretch of loneliness with two friends who have a dream.
Even though i finished the book in a couple of hours, i've never felt more moved by a book.

Packs a mighty punch
I agree with all the other reviewers here. Its a short, simple, sad, hard hitting (to the extent of being gut wrenching) realistic look at life in America in a different time. I wish it was longer but however you look at it, Of Mice And Men deserves its spot as one of English literature's finest works.
