This book is pretty helpful but if you are not very good at maths and verbal i will suggest refer to foundation manhattan then princeton and then official gmat.. you will not need any coaching..
Level 1- foundation manhattan (which contains basics).
Level 2-Princeton (easier presentation of official gmat).
Level 3 - Official Gmat.
Practice Tests as many as you can take.

This book provides a complete guidance and confidence in attempting GMAT within a short span of time. The attached CD provide an actual experience of GMAT exam.

I would recommend this book for those who has no idea where to start for the GMAT.. The book starts with the basic idea of what is GMAT and then how to prepare for it.. There are practice questions but those who think that this will act as a textbook must know that this is just a review for the whole GMAT exam. This will help you about the know-hows, don't expect it to be a textbook of any particular field..

I would recommend this book to every amateur and serious aspirant of the GMAT examination. Secondly about the book, this is THE HOLY GRAIL of GMAT preparation. You can venture into some more advanced level (difficulty-wise) books but it should be after going through this book

I am not completely finished with the book but to the extent I have studied I have recognised the importance of this book. It not only contains actual questions asked in the GMAT exam but also provides with explanation to the right choices. However if you are looking to build a solid base before jumping into questions , there are other books by the same publisher like "Sentence Correction" & "Verbal" etc.
This book should be attempted by those familiar with the grammar & math concepts.

this is really a very nice book for GMAT aspirants..i highly recommend this book..this books gives u a perfect idea of how GMAT exam is goin to be..there are many questions from each topic gives you sufficient idea about the pattern of the question..however it alone not goin to help you with this i will recommend KAPLAN too...
