First, this is my first binocular and new to handling. So just jotting down my feedback as a newbee..

Nice for outdoor events like sports, bird watching..etc..
Lens caps are not attached to the binocular, so have to worry all the time.
Good for people wearing glasses.
Bit heavy on the hands..
Crystal clear display.

Overall, a good one for first buy.

I bought this as a gift. The service was excellent, Flipkart shipped it within 3 days (upon my request). The packaging was also very good.

I tested the binos for a day or two and was really impressed by the wide angle views. These are nice to hold, and robustly build. I found them very good for daylight viewing and reasonable good for viewing night sky. Recommended.

An update to original review: I bought DPS 10x50 as a gift again. And that one is as good as 8x40. Olympus DPS is for sure th...

Well, Flipkart shipped this beauty to me in a record 24 hours! I took it with me on a recent camping trip. These binoculars are a treat for all birdwatchers with superb magnification and come in a great carry case. However they are heavy and for people like me with a weak neck, they can be burdensome. This was our first binocular and after reading the reviews on different websites and on flipkart I have taken risk and gone for it , but my gamble paid off and we found it really suitable product . We used this binos in Kalpa to watch snow peaked mountain as well as used in Bharatpur bird sanctuary the quality is amazing.
I have also ordered for 10 x 50 and when compared 10 x 50 is slightly better than this, but cost is also 1K higher for that.

For newbies, this is awesome... I spent lot of time selecting a pair on the net- against good optics, availablity, and value for money. I bet on the DPS-I and it has been great. Watched the moon, stars, and lot many birds. It's price is up since I bought it, but still worth it all. Surely prefer this over the 2K priced ones, after all optics matter more than a few bucks for awesome experience. Get it!

This was my first pair of binoculars. It's good in low light conditions. And you don't need a tripod or stand even with the highest zoom possible on this because of the minimum shaking with this zoom. Adjustable focus makes it good for variety of purposes. Good for people with spectacles. If you have simple prescription below +-2.0 then you can use it without your glasses. But on the heavier side but it adds to the premium feel

This binocular is certainly ages ahead of other binoculars I have seen before. All the money spent is totally worth, even for casual users like me.

Must mention that the quality of this product is top notch, and you feel it instantly when you hold it for the first time. Zoom is unbelievable and so is the clarity.
