The book is a gem, I'd read it already and I'm happily adding it to my personal collection!
About the quality of Book, I'm thankful to Flipkart as well as Prakash books Pvt Ltd, Bangalore. Packaging is beyond expectation, included a bill and looks as brand new like it was printed yesterday and maybe because of that they didn't had time for proper binding. Anyway it's only a minor flaw. Thank you Flipkart again!

This book was in my wishlist from the day it was declared in Oprah's Book Club, I guess in the year 2003. And finally when I actually got to read it, I think it was worth the wait. I lived with Ursula all from the very beginning from the discovery of Mocondo to the death of the last heir of the family after 100 year! Wana to try a little hard book ? Try this one.
A well written magical realism novel won the Nobel prize 1982.

The names are a little confusing(repetitive), the story lengthy.
Book is Magneficient, the description of the environment and the emotions of the people is one of the best I've read.
In short, it doesn't miss a thing needed in a novel.
And if you like classics, go for it. It's worth reading.

And yes, the paper quality of this book is bad.

I noticed many people writing highly about this novel and so I wanted to have a copy of my own. Then I approached flipkart and I am very happy about the way I got it. It was quite smooth without any hitch. In fact the whole process was as gentle and soft as the flow of music.

Book is my introduction to magical realism. Great book. At first reading all names got mixed up in my head. But the magic in the story keeps you turning pages.

One Hundred Years of Solitude by GGM is highly recommended for people who like to READ.
