Description

A ground-breaking book on management which teaches simple, yet highly effective techniques to help in becoming an efficient manager, The One Minute Manager: Increase Productivity, Profits And Your Own Prosperity is a bestselling book by Ken Blanchard and Spencer Johnson.

Summary Of The Book

The brief narrative of The One Minute Manager: Increase Productivity, Profits And Your Own Prosperity demonstrates three simple, albeit pragmatic, techniques that can be used as very effective management tools, such as One Minute Goals, One Minute Reprimands and One Minute Praisings.

One Minute Goals applies to meetings between an employer and an employee - the book stresses on the fact that meeting of this nature must be brief, to-the-point, and unambiguous, leaving no room for confusion-borne errors.

One Minute Reprimands refers to the fact that all aberrations must be reprimanded effectively and immediately, followed by a reassurance that the rebuke was not personal, but was for the employee’s performance instead. The last secret technique is the One Minute Appraisal, which means praising an employee for any job well-executed, or any well-made decision, laying emphasis on the reason behind the praise.

The One Minute Manager: Increase Productivity, Profits And Your Own Prosperity also uses excerpts and examples from several studies in the field of behavioral science and medicine that point towards the validity of the aforementioned techniques. These tried-and-tested steps can lead to increased productivity, personal happiness and job satisfaction and have been followed by innumerable businesses and Fortune 500 companies for over twenty years.

Over 13 million copies of this international bestseller have sold till date, and it has been translated into 37 languages, making it one of the most popular books in the field of management.

Simply Effective

One of the toughest things in today’s fast moving world is "Simplicity". A lot of us find it difficult to simply things and end up complicating it further. The beauty of one minute manager is its "Simple" A very small and simple book that highlights key areas that managers typically struggle. Wonderful book and must read for all leaders and managers.

Master Piece!! Most suited for beginers in management.

This book needs no introduction.
Long before there were these large bible-like must do/dont's of management, there was this slim 100 page book.

It sets the tone for the best approach that you should have as a manager.

I gift this book to my associates who take up the People Manager(mentor) role at our company.
It's simple yet powerful, concise & unbelievably effective.

If you have never read any management book, i highly recommend this be your first book on management!!

A must read for all students / managers inclined for effective management.

A book worth your time and money...! In the age of information overload, ignorance is a choice.
When most people become a manager for the first time, they are more than a little unsure of themselves. Naturally, they often use speech and ways of doing things that they have seen others use. That's great if their role models are good, but can be terrible otherwise.
The One Minute Manager provides a positive role model for those who have not yet seen one, and good reinforcement for those who have...
