Why is there a shipping charge for this item?

Sellers with Flipkart Assured waive off the delivery charge for Orders over Rs 500. For Orders under Rs 500, a nominal delivery charge is added per item.

Sellers without Flipkart Assured may or may not add a delivery charge to your Order. This is subject to Seller discretion.

What is the estimated delivery time?

Sellers generally procure and ship the items within the time specified on the product page. Business days exclude public holidays and Sundays.

Estimated delivery time depends on the following factors:

      • The Seller offering the product
      • Product's availability with the Seller
      • The destination to which you want the order shipped to and the Seller's location

Why does the delivery date not correspond to the delivery timeline of X-Y business days?

It is possible that the Seller or our courier partners observe a holiday between the day you placed your order and the date of delivery, which is based on the timelines shown on the product page. In this case, we add a day to the estimated date. Some courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sundays and this is factored in to the delivery dates.

What do the different tags like 'In Stock', 'Available' mean?

      'In Stock'

Products‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

      'Available'

Products listed as ‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

      'Preorder' or 'Forthcoming'

The product is not released yet. You can however ‘book’ an order for this. Shipping happens only after the product launch.

      'Out of Stock'

Currently, the item is not available for sale. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know once it is available for purchase.

      'Imported'

Sometimes, items have to be sourced by Sellers from outside India. These items are mentioned as 'Imported' on the product page and can take at least 10 days or more to be delivered to you.

      'Back In Stock Soon'

The item is popular and is sold out. You can however 'book' an order for the product and it will be shipped according to the timelines mentioned by the Seller.

      'Temporarily Unavailable'

The product is currently out of stock and is not available for purchase. The product could to be in stock soon. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know when it is available for purchase.

      'Permanently Discontinued'

This product is no longer available because it is obsolete and/or its production has been discontinued.

      'Out of Print'

This product is not available because it is no longer published and has been permanently discontinued.

Why does the estimated delivery time vary for each seller?

Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time-to-deliver to your location.

Please enter your default pin code on the product page to know more accurate delivery times on the product page itself.

Seller does not/cannot ship to my area. Why?

Enter your pincode on the product page to know whether the product can be delivered to your location.

If you haven't provided your pincode until the checkout stage, the pincode in your last used shipping address will be used to check for serviceability.

Whether your location can be serviced or not depends on:

      • Whether the Seller actually ships to your location
      • Legal restrictions, if any, in shipping particular products to your location
      • The availability of reliable courier partners in your location

At times Sellers prefer not to ship to certain locations. This is entirely at their discretion.

    Description

Published in the year 2005, One Night @ The Call Center is a novel that revolves around the lives of six call center employees, and the phone call that brought about a dramatic change in their lives.

    Summary Of The Book

One Night @ The Call Center is a book that covers the lives of six call center employees working for Connexions, a call center located in Gurgaon. In the beginning of the book, the readers are presented with a frame story describing a train journey, during which the author meets a girl who desires to tell him a story. However, there was one condition that he had to adhere to if he wanted to hear the story. This condition specified that he had to base his second book on the story.

The book talks about how the employees receive a phone call from God during their work timings at the call center. The characters in this novel include Radhika, Esha, Shyam, Priyanka, Varun, and Military Uncle. These six characters are deeply disturbed by the events taking place in their own lives, and choose to focus on their problems rather than trying to find a way out of them.

In this book, Bhagat throws light on the lives of the individuals in present day India, who are residing in the metro cities. The language utilized by the author is simple, and contains witty remarks on urban culture and relationships. The author makes use of words that are associated with that region in the country, thereby increasing the readability of this book.

One Night @ The Call Center was published in 2005 and received a favourable response. The book was adapted into a movie that was released in 2008, titled Hello, starring Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Amrita Arora, Gul Panag, and a host of other actors.

    One night wasted reading this

My first book of Chetan Bhagat was "Revolution 2020". That book, may be, good for first time readers but I felt it's a naive novel with a ludicrous plot. Being optimistic, i gained the courage to give a try reading any of his other books. Upon my friends suggestion, in this regard, I bought this.

I finished this book in single night which, at the end, made me feel that the night was simply wasted. The meekly existing veil of inclination towards chetan bhagat's books too simply burned up to ...

One of the worst books ever written

Everything about this book is utter rubbish. If you like this book you either have a flair for ridiculously unrealistic drama or you've probably not read anything before. While that goes for any chetan bhagat book in general, this one is the worst of the lot! Beware...throw your money down the drain instead of purchasing this book!

DONT BUY THIS BOOK EVEN IF YOU GET IT FREE OF COST

The worst book of all times. You cant even call it a story...
"The girl breaks up with his boyfriend,Shyam(call center agent). Her family arranges marriage with a Microsoft guy working in USA. The guy sends her his pic. Later, Shyam google searches and finds he is bald and he has put on a wig in the pic. For this reason, she ditches him and marries Shyam."
Chetan Bhagat is riding on the success of 5 point someone.I would give 1 star for this 1 night totally wasted coz thats the least I could...

    One night @ without work

I don't know but I felt something was missing... the incident of Qualis getting stuck in pit doesn't appear to be part of the story and somehow looked forced to make entry for GOD... so that Mr. Bhagat can add his value proposition (philosophy)... I don't see anything wrong in it but felt that content of God's conversation could have been better.

The fourth ingredient for success doesn't go well with me... some times a failure breaks you so much that we can never achieve what you could have...

    Pathetic

Pathetic writing. This has made clear to the world that Chetan Bhagat doesn't just have the skills of a writer. He should probably choose writing for Bollywood masala movies. Stay away from this book and save few bucks and some time.

    Good but not the best

One night @ the call center is a fun read, clearly exposing the brutality experience by people struggling for living. But it has some masala flavors added to it. When the story ends, the male and the female lead kiss in the road. Come on, it happens only in cinemas.

    The end was pretty idiotic

The story starts by Chetan describing about the girl who he met during a train journey. This girl asks him to write a book based on 6people working in a call center. First Chetan doesn't agree with it. After hearing the story, he does. The girl helps him by giving some contacts so that he could have some research on it.
The flop part is that, when the journey gets completed, the Chetan asks who she was. But, she disappears
