Summary Of The Book
Organic Chemistry is a very famous text on the subject of organic chemistry, and has been utilized by chemists to gain a strong understanding of reaction mechanisms. In this tenth edition, the readers have been provided with clearer explanations of the fundamental aspects of this field, which makes it easier for them to understand important concepts. Some of the chapters include The Basics: Bonding and Molecular Structure, Alcohols and Ethers, Alkenes and Alkynes II: Addition Reactions, Stereochemistry: Chiral Molecules, and Radical Reactions. Some other chapters include Nomenclature and Conformations of Alkanes and Cycloalkanes, and Alcohols From Carbonyl Compounds: Oxidation-Reduction and Organometallic Compounds.
This revised, and updated edition comes with a new set of solved problems, which help the reader understand how to tackle such questions in examinations. This edition also makes use of bulleted lists to highlight crucial topics. The readers have also been provided with more ball-stick models, and bond-line drawings. This book also has a chapter on spectroscopy, which throws light on a technique utilized for adding HX to alkynes, and alkenes, which is called 300 MHz FT NMR spectra. Organic Chemistry is highly recommended for students as well as chemists.
