I loved the Outlast series,in general. Being mostly a horror game player, I can safely say this game is great! If you notice closely, and played the part 1 first, you will notice the story line and how everything is connected. I recommend this only if you have played Outlast first.
BTW, if you're planning on playing all the outlast titles, I'd advice you to play with focus lol cuz sometimes the story is hard to relate. But if you're only in for horror, it's the one of the best games I've eve...

it is so much scary games but here are the things you should do before playing it.
1) play outlast first part beacause the expansion pack of outlast and it has link with it
2) it's an expansion pack of outlast first part. so it is only 2 hours long game and maximum 4 hours.
but it is worth it
