Jeeves Protect AC Maintenance Plan Terms and Conditions

This Jeeves Protect "AC Maintenance Plan", hereinafter referred to as "PMS” has been entered into between Jeeves Consumer Services Private Limited, hereinafter referred to as "Jeeves", incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 and having its Corporate office at L-169, 13th Cross, 5th Main, Sector – 6, HSR Layout, Bangalore - 560102 and the name & address of the customer, herein referred to as "Customer", mentioned in the application form. The terms & conditions of PMS shall be fully binding on the customer for the product/appliance/equipment covered, herein referred to as "Covered Product".

A. Products Covered

The Jeeves Protect AC Maintenance Plan Plan is available for select verticals of ACs.

B. Defined Terms:

The following terms, when capitalized, if not defined elsewhere in these T&Cs shall have the meanings assigned to each such term below:

  • Purchase Price: is purchase price of the Covered Product prior to any discounts but including applicable taxes.
  • PMS Coverage Start Date: is the date after the expiry of the Manufacturer’s Warranty on the Covered Product or 12 months after product purchase (whichever is later).
  • PMS Coverage Term: is from the PMS Coverage Start Date subject to these T&Cs.
  • SLA: SLA (service level agreement) is defined as the total time elapsed between first on-site visit for repair to when the product is back in working condition after repair/replacement.
  • Serviceability: If due to any reason, the service cannot be provided by Jeeves, the customer shall get the refund of the amount paid to buy the PMS.

Note: The SLA is valid only after all required documents have been provided by the customer.

  • Calendar Days: Includes all 7 days (weekdays and weekends); excludes national & regional holidays.

Troubleshooting of the functional issue is not covered under AC service

Repair of AC to working condition is not covered in AC service

Gas Charging is not covered in this plan & will be charged additionally., 1500 + taxes for gas charging upto 1.5 tons, 2500 + taxes for gas charging above 1.5 tons

Customers need to provide ladder to the technician

D. What is not covered?

  • Maintenance service within the Warranty Period
  • Manufacturing defects - Any defect arising out of faulty or defective material or workmanship.
  • Any defect caused due to Accidental and Liquid damage.
  • Not liable for any pre-existing issues/potential risks reported by the technician but not handled due to customer refusal to repair the same.
  • PMS cannot be transferred
  • If an issue is identified during check up at the time of Maintenance Service, all parts and accessories costs will be borne by the customer if the customer chooses to get it repaired by Jeeves.
  • The plan does not cover maintainence service if the site is deemed unsafe for conducting the specific service, post site evaluation by the technician

E. Buying AC maintenance Plan and availing services

  • AC Maintenance Plan can be purchased through Jeeves’s authorized representatives.
  • Information on PMS, registration of a breakdown call, changing of registered address or other customer / product details can be obtained from:

    • support@Jeeves.co.in & / or
    • Phone – Toll-free number (080-69290899 or 080-45471099)
    • Service - All the days of the week except Sundays and public holidays. Working hours – 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. Appointments for home visits will be fixed as per mutual convenience.

F. Terms of coverage

  • PMS only covers cleaning service
  • Any part consumed during the service is the sole responsibility of the customer. Jeeves won't be bound to any part warranty used during service.
  • The PMS is applicable for a period of 12 months (1 year PMS ) from the date of the expiry of the Manufacturer’s Warranty
  • There is no cover for items described as ‘used’, ‘second hand’ or ‘refurbished’
  • You must be at least 18 years old on the date of purchase of this PMS
  • This PMS is limited to products with Manufacturer’s Warranty that are purchased in select cities within the defined geographic boundary of the Republic of India. Information on whether PMS services are available in your city will be provided at the point of purchase of the PMS
  • The PMS shall become effective once Jeeves, at its sole discretion, accepts the application of the customer and shall continue to remain in force for the period as applicable, unless terminated earlier as per terms herein

G. Scope of coverage

  • This PMS covers the cost of labor charges for at-home service within the city/municipal limits of the Jeeves Service Centers. It does not cover the cost of labour for additional services like repair fixes.
  • During the validity of the PMS, customers shall claim the services to be done at the customer doorstep. Jeeves will fix an appointment post confirmation from the customer of a suitable time. Jeeves will conduct working conditions and performance checks during the service visit.
  • In case a defect is identified at the time of the service call and customer requests Jeeves to provide repair services, this will be done at additional charges and customers will be charged for any parts or accessory costs.
  • If any spares or parts are required, it will not be provided as part of the service. The parts should be procured by the customer and additional charges will apply.
  • Customers shall take full responsibility of the product during transportation and indemnify Jeeves of any damage that occurs during this process.
  • Jeeves bears no liability under this Contract.

H. PMS covered product usage

  • Product is used only for domestic & personal and not for commercial purposes.
  • Product is used as per the manufacturer's guidelines and as specified in the user manual supplied along with the product
  • Product is used in the location as per the address given by the Customer to Jeeves. Address change, if any should be notified in advance by the customer through either of the following means

I. PMS stands void if

  • Product which has been modified, altered, adjusted or repaired/serviced/installed/removed by unauthorized person/s
  • Product which has been transferred by Customer to any other person. In case of PMS being gifted, PMS transfers as ownership. If Product is transferred as a gift offline, Jeeves needs to be notified of the transfer within one month (30 days) of purchase of PMS

J. Representation and Responsibilities of Customer

To avail service, Customer must -

  • Correctly select the right Jeeves Protect AC Maintenance Plan for the product based on condition, price or purchase location
  • Properly maintain, store and use your item according to the manufacturer instructions
  • Customer shall provide representative of Jeeves, complete access to Product in order to effect necessary adjustments and/or repairs
  • Customer shall provide adequate storage space for spare components, test Product/Equipment and adequate working space, light, heat, ventilation and electric current for use of Jeeves representative for provision of Services at Customer’s location
  • Our technicians do not carry ladders. If required, a ladder has to be provided by the customer.
  • In case of identification of a defect at the time of service, the customer will bear the full material costs including spares, parts & accessories. The customer will also incur the cost of transportation of the product to the service center, if the same is required

K. Charges and payments

  • For problems/defects/parts/services not covered by PMS , services/parts provided by Jeeves, Customer shall forthwith make payment towards cash receipt or invoice as issued by Jeeves or its authorized representative
  • Charges payable by Customer are inclusive of taxes, duties or levies unless explicitly state

L. Other terms & conditions

  • While Jeeves promises to schedule maintenance service for the product covered by PMS on priority, Jeeves shall not be responsible for delays in service and consequential loss if any to the customer. The maximum liability of the Jeeves shall be limited to refund of the PMS cost paid by the customer less taxes
  • In case the Product under PMS is sold/transferred to another party or the product is not available at the registered address/location, the PMS shall get automatically terminated and no refund shall be applicable (unless as applicable under clause H.3)

M. Cancellation of PMS

  • You shall have the option to cancel the PMS within 10 days of its purchase, provided that you have not availed any services under the purchased Plan. You can cancel the Plan purchase order by following the instructions under "My Orders" section of the Platform or by contacting Flipkart customer care number available on the Platform
  • The Plan will be auto-canceled once the purchase order of the Covered Product is canceled or returned. Upon cancellation of the Annual Cleaning Service Plan, the purchase price of the Plan will be refunded to You.
  • Notwithstanding any of the above, Jeeves shall be entitled to cancel or change the scope of services without any notice in any of the following events:

    • If the Customer is declared insolvent or bankrupt.
    • If for any reason, the area or pincode becomes unserviceable.
    • If a trustee is appointed to take over the assets of Customer
    • If the original Manufacturer refunds price of Product to the Customer
    • The conditions of Force Majeure continue for such a length of time that further performance of Services would be commercially frustrating
    • If Customer fails to adhere to the requirements as prescribed by Jeeves
  • In the event of cancellation for any reason whatsoever, Jeeves shall be entitled to recover all outstanding payments due and payable by the Customer. Jeeves shall, under no circumstances be responsible for refunding any amounts to the Customer including without limitation due to cancellation of the PMS by Customer or by Jeeves, except as provided under condition L.

N. Revalidation of PMS

  • While Jeeves offers transfer of PMS services from one location to another, it will be subject to Customer promptly intimating Jeeves (email –support@jeeves.co.in) or by calling Jeeves on (080-69290899 or 080-45471099) of the new address and obtain the validation of the PMS at the changed location. The installation of a transferred product requiring so, should be done only by a Jeeves authorized person. In the absence of such validation or if Jeeves does not have service facility at the changed location, Jeeves shall have the discretion to cancel the PMS and no refund shall be applicable.
  • In case the Manufacturer replaces the product during the warranty period, Customer is to intimate the same to Jeeves and submit a copy of the replacement note given by the Manufacturer for revalidation of the PMS for the replaced product

O. Data protection

The details you provide to make your PMS purchase will be stored and used by the Administrator – Jeeves Consumer Services Pvt. Ltd. This information may be shared with third parties for the purpose of handling claims and repairs. Your data will, at all times, be held securely and handled with the utmost care in accordance with all principles as defined by the Data Protection Laws of India.

P. You acknowledge and confirm that You are aware of the nature of telecommunications/ internet services and that an email transmission may not be received properly and may be read or be known to any unauthorized persons. You agree to assume and bear all the risks involved in respect of such errors and misunderstandings and Jeeves or Jeeves shall not be responsible in any manner.

Q. Jeeves reserves the right to change, extend, amend and/or withdraw any of these terms & conditions anytime without prior notice.

R. Jeeves reserves the right to disqualify You from the benefits of this scheme, if any fraudulent activity is identified as being carried out for the purpose of availing the benefits under the said scheme.

S. Arbitration

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising herein shall be subject to Arbitration act and/or any statutory act, amendment or modification thereof, from time to time in force. The venue of such arbitration shall be in Bangalore city and only the courts in Bangalore city shall have jurisdiction in relation to such arbitration.

T. This document is an electronic record in terms of Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Rules thereunder as applicable and the amended provisions pertaining to electronic records in various statutes as amended by the Information Technology Act, 2000. This electronic record is generated by a computer system and does not require any physical or digital signatures.
