    How does exchange work?

    Tell us about your old Laptop

    Once you've decided which laptop to buy, provide details of your old laptop in the Exchange Offer form. Offer valid on selected laptops only.

    Before you hit 'Buy Now', check with your pincode if the Exchange Offer is available in your location. Exchange is possible in eligible pincodes only.

    Hand in your old laptop for new one

    Once the Order is placed, the new laptop will be shipped. Hand in your old laptop to the field executive at the time of delivery.

    If your exchange item does not qualify for pick up, you can still get your new product by paying an additional amount (equivalent to the discount that you got for your exchange item) in cash at the time of delivery of your new device.

    1. How do I know if my laptop is eligible for the Exchange Offer?

      To know if your old laptop qualifies for the Offer, check the list of eligible devices in the Exchange Offer form.

      Please note that all Laptops will be eligible for exchange.

    2. How do I find out my computer's Processor?

      If you are using Windows Operating System

      • Click on Start Menu
      • Right click on "Computer" / "My Computer"
      • Click on Properties and go to System Information
      • Then, you will find your Processor Information displayed

      If you are running Linux OS

      • Open the Shell window. Ensure you are logged in as Administrator
      • Type the command $ cat /proc/cpuinfo and press Enter
      • Your laptop's Processor Information will be displayed

      If you are using a Macbook,

      • Click the Apple icon on the screen in top left corner
      • Click "About This Mac" option
      • Your laptop's Processor Information will be displayed

    3. How do I find out my laptop's Serial Number?

      It's easy. You'll find your laptop's serial number on the original invoice, the original manufacturer's packaging and on the device itself (mostly on the backside). Alternatively,

      If your laptop is running on Windows OS:

      • Open Command Prompt. Ensure you are logged in as Administrator
      • Type the command wmic bios get Serial number and press Enter
      • Your laptop's Serial Number will be displayed

      If your laptop is running on Linux OS:

      • Open the Shell window. Ensure you are logged in as Administrator
      • Type the command sudo dmidecode -t 1 | grep -i serial and pressEnter
      • Your laptop's Serial Number will be displayed

    4. How do I avail the Exchange Offer?

      Check if the exchange offer is available at your location by entering your Pincode. If available, fill out the Exchange Offer form. Ensure the product which you are exchanging has met all the requirements according to the exchange T&Cs. You'll then see the effective final price of the laptop you wish to purchase

      Post the checks, you can hand in your old laptop to our field executive at the time of delivery

    5. How do I send my old laptop back?

      Your old laptop and charger will be picked up by us at the time the new one is delivered.

      Kindly keep your old laptop with all your data backed up during pickup.

    6. My laptop is listed as eligible and exchange is available in my location. Are there any more conditions to avail the offer?

      Well, as long as your laptop is listed as eligible and passes all checks as per eligibility criteria as per the first FAQ, it is good for exchange.

    7. Do I need the device's bill of sale when I'm exchanging it?

      No. The bill is not mandatory.

    8. Can I exchange more than one device towards a purchase?

      No. You may only exchange one device at a time.

    9. What's the bill value when I avail the Exchange Offer?

      The invoice sent to the customer will have the final adjusted amount.

    10. Can I provide one address for pick up and another for delivery?

      The address needs to be the same, as pickup and delivery will happen simultaneously.

    11. In case I wish to return the new laptop bought in the Exchange Offer, will my old laptop be shipped back to me?

      Unfortunately, the laptop you are exchanging cannot be shipped back to you.

    12. Can I hand in a different laptop for Exchange?

      You can only exchange the laptop for which you have provided details.

    13. Any reminders before I exchange my laptop?

      Kindly ensure all your data is backed up and cleared from your old laptop before exchange.

    14. Why do I see a pickup charge for availing the exchange offer?

      When you avail the exchange offer, our courier partner picks up your old device right from your doorstep. It is then shipped to the seller in lieu of the new device. The pickup charge covers pickup from doorstep, packing and shipping of your old device. Flipkart only facilitates the exchange process.

    15. If my old item is found ineligible for the exchange during delivery, is it possible to make an additional payment at that time and collect only the new product?

      If your exchange item does not qualify for pick up, you can still get your new product by paying an additional amount (equivalent to the discount that you got for your exchange item) in cash at the time of delivery of your new device.
