What is Smart Care Extended Warranty plan and what does it cover?
Smart Care Extended Warranty offers an additional warranty coverage of 1 year on your appliance after the expiry of manufacturer warranty. It is an extension of your manufacturer warranty & covers all the defects covered under the manufacturer warranty
When does the coverage start?
Coverage for this policy starts after the end of manufacturer warranty.
If I buy this plan and my appliance goes faulty, how do I claim warranty services?
If your covered appliance goes faulty, you can contact Tata AIG customer care (1800 267 0901) via call or SMS WARRANTY to 5616181 within 7 days of malfunction, get it repaired at the nearest authorised repair center in a cashless manner or avail reimbursement for the cost of repair
What documents need to be shared by me at the time of claim?
For reimbursement:
a. Completed Claim Form
b. Estimate copy to be submitted to Tata AIG for approval prior to repairs.
c. Completed Engineer service report mentioning parts replaced signed by customer satisfaction signature and
d. The Authorised Service centre Repair Invoice
e. Smart Care Extended Warranty certificate copy
f. Customer Bank details to reimburse the money in the customer’s account
When can I buy this policy?
You can buy this policy at the time of purchase of your appliance on Flipkart
How will I get a policy certificate?
Policy certificate will be emailed to you after the delivery of the appliance
Do I need to activate the policy?
No, you don’t need to activate the policy after purchase. It will be auto-activated from our end and policy certificate will be shared with you on mail
Can I avail repair multiple times within 1 year extended warranty coverage duration?
Yes, you can avail repair multiple times within the policy duration. However, total sum of repair cost can not exceed sum insured..
Will there be any depreciation charged?
The appliance will be depreciated by flat 10% year on year. Depreciation will be applied based on age of the product which is calculated based on the time elapsed from the date of purchase/date of invoice to the date of claim
Is accidental damage covered under this plan?
No. Accidental damages are not covered in the plan.
What happens when I cancel/return my appliance order?
If you choose to cancel/return your appliance order, the price of the appliance and the Smart Care Warranty will be refunded to you, and the policy stands cancelled.
My appliance was replaced by Flipkart due to issues, what happens to my Smart Care Extended Warranty Plan?
You need not worry about the Smart Care Extended Warranty Plan. It gets auto transferred and will be available on your replaced appliance.
Will you repair my broken appliance at my home?
No. Smart Care Extended Warranty plan does not provide door step repair service. You have to get the repair done at the authorized service provider and the cost of the repair will be reimbursed by Tata AIG.
Are there any deductible?
No
What will happen to Salvage equipment in case my claim goes under total loss?
Salvage during total loss claim will be the property of Tata AIG. If case Tata AIG doesn’t receive the salvage from you, 5% of Sum Insured amount will be deducted at the time of settling of claims
