It is a good book to know about history of India from peak of British Raj to partition of India. It will tell you what events took place during that period, but mainly it is a book about Indian people that how that events changed them or what was the guiding force of those events. In a nutshell it is a book which revolves around people, their thinking, ideology and aspirations which cuased those events.
