This book is a collection of poems by the mother-daughter duo, Sulekha and Shloka Rawat.
Sulekha is a dreamer, healer and writer; loves drinking strong and sweet tea, listening to music, watching movies, spending time with her family and friends, and pouring out her thoughts on the pages of her notebooks. She was born and brought-up in Mumbai and now lives in Delhi/NCR with her husband, Vikram Rawat, and now grown-up children, Shloka and Kartik. Sulekha also has a side-kick named Sparky, her 11 year old Dalmatian who listens to her read out her rough drafts and gives her suggestions for improving them with a shake of her adorable head. Sulekha blogs at www.sulekharawat.com and can be reached at Sulekkha@yahoo.com.
Shloka is a law graduate from NLSIU, Bangalore, India, and is presently employed as an Advocate at the Supreme Court of India. She is testimony to the fact that an apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and her writing is proof enough. A voracious reader since the early age of five, Shloka’s curious and inquisitive nature has been leading her (and her unsuspecting friends and family) through a world of adventure from the moment she learned how to speak. A fierce defender of animal as well as human rights (and, yes, in that order), Shloka is also an avid gamer with an eclectic and ever-growing list of interests.
This mother-daughter duo has penned some heartwarming and gut-wrenching poems; there are some humorous and creative musings as well. All in all, it is a collection to be acquired and cherished.
