Honestly I haven't finished reading it completely, but this is just a fantastic book that is must for anyone trying to be in the field of data analytics. Some of the math would get tough pretty quickly because this book is meant for an advanced student. However, with other references one can get going. That we can get it under 1000/- is just a killer deal.

Awesome book, polished and colored pages, excellent page qualities

its really an amazing book. people who want to pursue their higher studies in comp science and want to take up AI, machine learning or data mining , this book is the basic requirement and gives all prerequisites . basic probability , random processes and other stuffs are explained clearly. conceptual wise, its very easy to understand. all under grads must study this book properly in order to gain knowledge and understand the concepts better. once if any one studies this book, it will be damn ...

This is a trade-off between the cost and the quality of the book w.r.t the original colored edition. However content wise its excellent. The black n white picture make it bit difficult to understand some thing but not that tough.

Some of the comments were claiming to receive black and white copy, but I received the colored one, take it guys it's a must have book for ml and data science

The paper in original print is glossy, this book is just a coloured print out of the original.

Most of the diagrams are in color and its difficult to understand in B/W. I am not sure if it's actually original. Poor paper quality, poor print. Buy it only if you are ready to predict color from gray-scale images.

Its quality is nice. Same as original. The pictures are black and white but clear. The binding of the book is also good. All in all it was nice reading and that too at reasonable price.

The book covers all the aspects of PRML required for an undergrad course. It also has solutions online. However, The only complaint I have is about the figures, The original book is a colour print . The book sold here is a black and white, but the figures have reference to colour. (Like Blue line is better than red)

1) The book provides a detailed introduction to machine learning and pattern recognition. Though some mathematical background might be required, it can be recommended for beginners. The exercises are really good.


2) The low priced edition of the book is printed in black & white. It is therefore hard to understand the figures/illustrations which are originally in colors.


3) The price is much less compared to the actual edition (colored hardcover).


4) Paper quality is not that good.
