  • Description
In this lively, informative and insightful book, Shashi Tharoor brilliantly demonstrates how Indian diplomacy has come of age and forecasts where it will need to focus in the new millennium. He surveys India's major international relationships in detail, evokes the country's soft power and offers his thoughts on a new 'grand strategy' for the nation, arguing that India must move beyond non-alignment to multi-alignment. Stimulating, reflective, elegantly written and passionately engaged, Pax Indica is another substantial achievement from one of the finest Indian authors of our times.

Good and Bold account but incomplete

The book presents a very good account of India’s International Affairs. I have loved Mr. Tharoos’s columns from The Hindu OP-ED pages during my Delhi University days and have followed him since then whenever I got an opportunity. His analysis of India’s Bilateral relation in particular used to be very precise and brought issues into notice that were not always so visible. However, contrary to my expectations, this book does not quite live up to the expectation.
Throughout the book, you get a...

    Super!

You might come across some people saying the paper quality is not good. But honestly, a true reader will know this type of pages are the best, this type of paper for some reason is emotionally attached with every reader. Also they smell so good, your nose will always be in your book, quite literally ;)
The delivery was not late (keeping in mind, the ongoing pandemic) and the product is in good quality.
As for Shashi Tharoor, what can I even say about the man himself. His works are too good to...

Who says Foreign Policy is boring??? A real delight for Foreign Policy enthusiasts

From the cover of the book till the end it is an extremely interesting read. This is by far the best book I've read on Foreign Policy till date. The book is fast moving contrary to the popular belief that Foreign Policy can be boring. Shashi Tharoor sure justifies his ability as a writer as well as one of the most competent people to write on such an important area. It gives an in depth understanding of Foreign Policy and how important it is for any nation especially for an emerging power lik...

Nice Book albeit Loosely written at few places

Who can write on Indian Foreign Policy better than Shashi Tharoor. The book has immense fresh ideas like 'Multi-Alginment' a befitting and better policy option than 'Non-Alignment 2.0"; converting 'Big Brother syndrome' to elder brother syndrome. The chapters on Soft power and on Africa and Latin America were missing in most books and were desperately required by Readers. The note on the ministry of External(in Throor's lexicom 'Eternal') Affairs is worth read with lot of insider and real in...

    Worth the money

A very interesting book on India's international relations by one of the finest author of India. Very interesting content. But the quality of book, it's pages are very poor. Never expected such a poor quality of book by such a renowned publisher. Really Penguin books needs to work on the quality of material for the books.
