    Description
Year 2009 has been a watershed year for the CAT- with the introduction of online computer based test (CBT) format and the resultant change. With this third edition, the following changes have been incorporated in the book to facilitate better learning as per the standards of CAT including CAT 2009:

    1. Practice questions simulating the CBT CAT in CD-full length and section test
    2. Thoroughly scrutinized questions and solutions
    3. Additional of CAT 2008 question paper
    4. Additional new problem.

Providing balanced coverage of both Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, this book also includes invaluable methods and hints that will fine-tune the interpretative and problem-solving skills of readers. A careful study of this comprehensive manual will go a long way in preparing a student, not only for the CAT but also for their career.

    Structure of the Book

This book is divided into four parts: part 1 facilitates and concept building in Logical Reasoning. Part 2 Guides the students in concepts building and development of the skills to apply these in Data Interpretation. Part 3 consist of test papers with varying levels of difficulty and part 4 contains six previous years CAT papers with solutions. Each part has three different levels of problems: Foundation, Moderate and advanced. These levels are hierarchical and sequential.

Time spent at one level will help the student in imbibing and assimilating the methods and approach to solve problems, which in turn will make it easier for the students to tackle problems at the next, higher stage. In other words, hard work put at one level will allow an intuitive functioning later. If one level is not mastered before moving on to the next, though good students would appear to perform well at that higher level and may get the right answers, it would be without any sound reasoning for most of the times.

Some benchmarking tests are also given at the end with scores and then finally few review tests to track the progress.

    Best Book on DI

I went through this book, it is awesome. The practice questions are good and helps to make you comfortable with all variations in a particular type. As said in first review, this book has some errors in answers, but I have noticed the same in at least all DI books I have came across. So, nothing to bother about.

Overall a Good Book....Going thru the reviews i was skeptical, and asked my coaching fac about this....He recommended this and i bought it. Surprisingly, i have solved almost half of this book, and quality of the questions and explanations is good. 100% recommedable.

    only limited solved ,maximum unsolved.

As there are not many options to choose for DI and LR practise books ,i bought this one.though they have given good qns but solution for a limited qns are there only.many qns are unsolved.
so if they will not solve how we can trust that the given option is the right one ?so in my view if u are a starter do not buy this one.because it will not help u to solve the given qns . practice papers are good, but it will be best if they will solve all given questions ,otherwise useless.for LR section it...

    Best book for DI

This is the best book I can tell regarding to its DI section. I'm still skeptical about LR part. The toughness level of the questions is such that a setter cannot go beyond that; it's true regarding to the printing mistakes & all but overall it's a good one.
