Reviewing this after almost 2yrs! I'm using this speaker since Feb'18 and purchased it for Rs.2699.
It sounded like any ordinary initially BUT! I changed its cable with an "Amazon Basics" cable which they say, has some gold coating on it(not sure if it is) and cost me around 450 bucks. Believe me, that's one super decision I made!!! the sound quality changed drastically :O :D :D (you'll know what I mean)!! since then I've been blowing up these speakers :) not a pinch of quality loss in terms ...

Good radio catch (ex 93.5 in Mumbai), USB works fine, sound quality is good at lower volume levels and holds good for a house party as well, haven't tried SD card. Good for casual music/ radio listners.

The remote is a boon, allows changing radio channels, volume control, mode switch (USB, SD Card, Radio) among other things.

2 negatives:
1. Somehow, doesn't catch 93.5 Radio City well in Mumbai

A good purchase and thanks flipkart. The one I intended. Good amount of bass and on top of it nice music details. Don't go on with negative reviews. It's truly awesome for a 2-3 bhk home and even parties. I love philips to deliver such a mind blowing product. Will surely recommend for those who still are scratching their heads in deciding 2.1 home theater.... Go for it ..

Nice product i bought it for just 2500 rs. its too worth and bass sound clarity is very good. and the brand Philips which make us feel too good.

A nice product with no frills. Give awesome sound and no big space requirements. For a small family or bachelor room this product is does its job !!

Cons :
1. While power on it blasts sound, doesn't remember last volume
2. EQ works only with USB\MMC. When you connect the speaker to DVD player it gives flat sound or you can't manipulate with EQ
3. The satellite speaker cable length is moderately short

if you want to buy creative or sony 2.1 speaker its philips product is very good .

very good speaker The connection is simple, if your TV has a "Earphone" socket. Philips provides RCA connectors and other end 3.5 mm jack. You can connect your DVD player to your TV and enjoy the movies like being in theatre.
It has provision of FM Tuner, USB/SD cards & Aux with Remote functions.
Only minus points so far observed that USB port is in a vertical position and when mode changed to FM or USB it will simply explode in full volume.

Great value for money. Purchased it @ Rs 2580 from Flipkart. Received on the 3rd day. Well packed delivery. Got aux and FM chord in the pack. Good sound in a moderate sized room. Apt for domestic use.
