The Calorie Buster

I have recently purchased this Air fryer from limited outlets of Philips .I have decided to purchase the product on the Demo spot only after seeing its capabilities. The Air fryer has unique and patented Rapid Air Technology where hot air circulates within the fryer and cooks food using the inside oil of food items. Thus you need oil for brushing up the items only. The food cooked are more crispy and taste close to food that are cooked with oil. Thus traditional food items like Samosa, French Fry...

An interesting product, if a little expensive

Great product, if a little expensive, for those like us who don't want to stop eating fried foods despite the obvious health risks.

Note that food prepared with the Air Fryer does not taste exactly similar to fried food, but if you can accept that it's a great device. With a little bit of olive oil smeared onto freshly cut potato chips, it tastes amazing, comes close to the original thing, but still isn't. Also makes great banana chips, garlic bread, and grilled veggies.

We're yet to try ou...

Very Good Product

The taste of air fry food is not the same as actual deep fried food.. though it is really nice and crispy.. If you have high cholestrol/triglycerides then this product is surely worth it.. will reduce oil intake by large amounts...

We made samosa, chips and Gujarati oily food on it and was quite good..

Pros: Surely reduces Oil intake..
Cons: Product is large and heavy.. Make sure you have place in your kitchen before you buy.. Also you will land up eating more potatoes because of this prod...

Fry without oil

its a good piece. But for indian food habit it's rarely useable machine. The money spent on it is not worth. iNITIALLY THE PRODUCT WAS DELIVERED WITHOUT A FOOD SEPARATOR , on request flipkart was kind enough to replace it with another factory fact Philips Airfrier, without question. But on opening the pack again we found the separator is not included. This separator allows you to fry two different items at the same time. We concluded that mistake is not from Flipkart , the deficiency is from...

Cool!!!

Its a nice, cool gadget to have in your kitchen. There is a slight change in the taste but this crams up a lot of health benefits, so it is very advantageous for anyone with cholestrol issues. One star missing because we can't make kanda bhajis on the air fryer, but then you can't on any air fryer.
By the way you can make very tasty pizzas using this device, if you know how :)

Surprisingly good

I have mostly approached "technological" cooking products with skepticism, as I have usually found those lacking when it comes to the TASTE of food prepared in those. But this product has surprised me. I got it only two days ago BUT the results have been impressive so far.
I cook almost everyday and dabble with cuisines from the west too. This product is very effective in making "tricky" foods like Kababs (tangri), Grilled Chicken etc. Its tricky to cook these using traditional methods (like...

Amazing appliance

This is an amazing piece of appliance you can add to your kitchen. It cuts down oil usage easily by 80% as claimed. And the air fried items come out and look like they have been fried (as opposed to looking baked, or roasted). I was surprised at the results with McCain frozen items. Here are the items I have made in this:

1. McCain frozen items
2. Bread rolls
3. Peanuts (for poha or namkeen)
4. Cakes (yes, it bakes as well! I used a betty crocker ready mix.)

The recipe book which comes alon...

Good but not great

Hi All,
I have been using Philips Air Fryer 9220 for a week now. Here's my review:
Pros:
1.Compact Design- Very good design, occupies very less Kitchen space in already cramped Kitchens that most of us have today
2.Easy to operate- Very easy to operate. Only timer and temperature control. And clear instructions for the needy
3.Cooks fast- It really cooks fast. Specially good for Non-Veg lovers, who are not sure about the quality in the restaurants.
4.Very little oil- Needs hardly a spoon of O...

Innovative product. Easy and very convenient to use.

First, kudos to FlipKart for the usual brilliant customer experience. Initially I was a little apprehensive buying this online - as it is a large expensive item and may get damaged in transit. But FlipKart did it's usual magic and I received it in record time in perfect condition.

The concept of the product had appealed to me. This is basically a magnetic resonance based induction cooker with forced air circulation. Have use it for a week now and it does exactly what it says. If you like fri...
