I am an astrophotographer. this was my second tripod, my first one was one of the cheaper alternatives (Simpex 555 or something of the sort). Have been using the photron for about a year now.

This tripod is very unreliable and is made from extremely cheap materials and the workmanship is pathetic. Even though the design isn't bad at all, it has been implemented quite poorly.

USE: I have not yet used a professional camera on this unit. but for wht I have used I find the stability not so great [SHAKES A LOT, more than PHOTRON 450 - I have both of them - got on discounts], may be using a heavy camera would answer that for me. [assumption]. Using an ordinary telescope [within 1kg weight] meets my requirements.

Features: Height is good, comes over 5.5ft. Again, for lower weighted devices this serves well for me.

Its a nice product... gives two attachments for the camera.
a nice carry bag for carrying the tripod...
But when using heavy lenses like 70-300 or other telephoto lenses tightening the screws and keeping it in position is slightly tedious....
but its worth the price...

Could see lot of reviews.But as for me this is absolute gem at this low cost.Obviously if top tripod is expected at this low price it's not gonna happen.Come on guys,this is no less good for a beginner DSLR.
This holds my Nikon D5100 absolutely fine.I regularly take photos in windy condition from top of my 4 storied building and found not even a single shaky photo.
Took it in BB deal day & got it at 1080 bucks.

I ordered this for my Alpa A37 and it works very well.
It goes above my head (almost 5.5" feet)
The head is plasticy and the hook (center to hold the tripod sturdy on full length) is very bad and feels very cheap.
Rest it is perfect basic tripod.

if u are creative you need to be show to world and you need some support system and these are the things who support you to create your own creative world.

About the tripod, you get what you pay for. Rather it suits the need of an amateur photographer like me. I feel the best advantage with this tripod is with its height.

A very good product for new users, easy handling, not very heavy but steady on ground. Foam guards on the neck for easy gripping. Its black color gives a professional look.

all in all is a good bargained product and must purchase for beginners who have started using DSLR. Of course; had it been slightly more heavier; it might provide more steady shot.
