Yes, the ear does ache because the hook touches back of ear, u can try using w/o hook by placing it horizontally in the ear.
The hook is clippable, so can be used in both ears

I bought a previous version of this model and it stopped working after like 9 months. They replaced it with this model. 2 of these stopped working within a period of 2-3 months!!!

So that's a TOTAL of 3 Plantronic headsets gone in a year!

the product does what it says.in description it is mentioned that music controls are there for this device.but ifi try to connect through media plyer it is not connecting.it forwards only the calls.

Used for 18 months and the on/off button broken...now have to buy a new one. May be because of old stock. I have used many Plantronics products, but this one is not good.
