Bhagwati returned from Gurukul and Neelkanth Pandey sent for Parvati so that both might live together as husband and wife. But the city bred girl didnt like the simpleton from Gurukul. Denouncing the silly child hood marriage she returned to Bombay. Bhagwati and his father lost face amongst their orthodox Panda kinsfolk. But Bhagwati didnt lose heart. He made himself a solemn promise by hook or crook he would bring his straying wife to the right path. After facing big difficulties and crossing many hurdles, Bhagwati succeeded at last in reclaming Parvati. And they both realised they were both wrong. Bhagwati was too old-worldish to be true and Parvati was too mod to be tolerated. Together, the husbands and wife found the Middle Path to marital happiness and bliss.
