Really a good work. A good collection for any artist who wish to make portraits. The step by step procedures are very much helpful. Good to learn from the start.

1) If you wanna learn how to draw the head step by step and gradually increase your skills to achieve likeness this is not the book to learn from.
2) This book is not intended for beginners.
3) In the preface the author mentions to study the "Anatomy and Drawing by Victor Perard" book to understand the portraits better . So its better to get any human anatomy book to get the most out of this book.
4) Its good to see portraits of Indian people. (Dancers,Villagers,etc.)

In this image some coloured medium for doing portraits is shown but it is not present in the book much
