About Peter Singer

Peter Singer is Ira W. DeCamp Professor of Bioethics at the University Center for Human Values at the Princeton University. He was previously the foundation president of the International Association of Bioethics. He has penned the book Animal Liberation, first published in 1975, and is usually recognized for initiating the modern movement for animal-rights. Peter’s book Practical Ethics is one of the most commonly used books in applied ethics across the world. His work Rethinking Life and Death received the National Book Council's Banjo Award for non-fiction in the year 1995.
