Munshi Premchandâs real name was Dhanpat Rai. He was born on 31 July 1880 in Lamhi village in Banaras. He was born into a middle class family which made him keenly observe the poverty and disadvantages of the middle class society. He dedicated his whole life to Hindi literature. He was honoured with the titles of a short-story writer, a novelist and a social reformer. He died on 8 October, 1936.

Really Nice
This book is good as like the others of Premchand. There was similarity between this and Pratyigya in the characters, some story point,places but the climax and a lot of thing was new.

Just wow!
It's a novella. Finished it in 4 days. Premchand wrote it, so obviously it's fabulous. It's an intersectional tale of love, loss, reform and struggle against the grain. 10/10. Would recommend.
