Q:I have ordered prestige pic 3 v3 only because it prevents insects to enter the unit. But I received prestige pic 3.1 v3. Does this model prevent insects entering in to the unit?

A:I also received the same. Not completely as there is ventilation opening at the bottom for fan cooling.

A:You can use all type of utensils with flat bottom...Curve bottom utensils are not detected by any kind of induction cooktop.

Bought this on FLIPKART. Got it delivered yesterday. I must say its a fantastic product from Prestige. I saw this before at my friends house and to be frank I was a bit skeptical till I got it in my hand. I was surprised with its built quality. Also the free cookwares given with it are superb. The buttons are feather touch. The only lack is that the Manual that came with it is not so detailed. It would have been better if the Manual contained a little more detailed explanation on how to cook ...

Great package

I am a bachelor who lives on his own. This cooktop is brilliant. So are the bundled utensils. Tawa, kadhai and frypan together are sufficient to cook most things.
The cooktop itself is pretty easy to use, and works very well. It's powerful too, so cooking larger quantities of food should be no problem. The build quality is good, and the touch buttons are responsive. The cooling fan is fairly quiet too. All in all, a good product from Prestige.

Don't go by the name..!

Contrary to what the name says and has been mentioned in many of the comments, the rate quoted for this product is only for the induction cooktop of the said model and "does not include any utensils" along with it. It is nothing more than a model name written wrong, or may be a deception as there is no such cooktop with the given name mentioned on the Prestige website.!
Buyers have to be careful about this.

Poor after sales service network.

I purchased the product in late August '12. After 3 months of good performance, the heater completely suddenly stopped working one fine day (Even the led display is out). I was disappointed to find that Prestige does not have any service centre in my city (Srinagar, J&K). A search on the net revealed that Prestige has service centres only in 20 states and unfortunately my state is not listed.
So before buying this product, please check that a service centre is someplace nearby. Or else you m...

bit expensive & delicate

it will cost more than gas cooking and one needs to be more sophisticated in using it. moreover there are constraints in terms of utensils to be used.good for little use. not a substitute for LPG.CAN BE TRIED IF U CAN BEAR ELECTRIC BILL.
