Prof. N. Krishna Raju is an Emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering at M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He earned his PhD from the University of Leeds, UK, and has taught at reputed institutions including the College of Engineering, Guindy; Regional Engineering College, Calicut; Lanchester College of Technology, UK; Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; and Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Surathkal. He also served as Visiting Professor at the University of Basrah, Iraq (1979–82). Dr. Arghadeep Laskar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at IIT Bombay. He holds a PhD from the University of Houston, USA, and has over five years of professional experience as a Structural Engineer at WorleyParsons Group Inc., Houston. His research areas include large-scale testing and FE simulation of concrete structures, smart structural systems, FRP-reinforced/prestressed sustainable concrete structures, and meta-material-based innovative isolation systems for seismic applications.
