    Description

Pride and Prejudice is a novel of manners, a satire of 18th century England and a story of the love between Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet.

    Summary of the Book

Elizabeth Bennet is the second of five daughters of an English country gentleman. Unused to social situations and the graces of the gentry, Elizabeth attends a ball where she meets Fitzwilliam Darcy, a man who acts condescending towards her and towards the ball in general. Eventually, chance puts her in Darcy's path several times, and she discovers that Mr. Darcy isn't all that bad after all.

      • JANE AUSTEN was born on December 16, 1775, the seventh of eight children-six boys and two girls. Jane Austen began to write stories and sketches for her family at the age of 12. By 1795 she had written a comic History of the World; an unfinished novel, Catherine; and two epistolary novels, Lady Susan and Elinor and Marianne which she was later to rewrite as Sense and Sensibility. In 1807 she and her sister and mother moved to Southampton, a large seaport, and in 1809 back to Hampshire to the village of Chawton. It was at Chawton Cottage that she wrote most of her completed novels. In November 1811 her first published novel, Sense and Sensibility, appeared and was very successful. Pride and Prejudice was published in January 1813, Mansfield Park in May 1814 and Emma very early in 1816. She died in 1817,aged only 42.

    Review as a literature Student

This is part of my syllabus and I've been searching for this book at low price from really long. Its Unabridged version which reduces chances of missing Jane Austen's super classy and romantic dialogue and even maintains my interest of entertainment. I saw previous comments regarding the font size. I've read other editions of the same novel costing 400bucks but with really small fonts but this is so apt. It has got perfect readable font size. Apart from that it has synopsis of the work and br...

    Received in good condition

The book was received in good condition.
However, it was a day late.
Also, no cute flipkart bookmark was inside.
Although, if you are buying the book, buy a better version, as this is a classic one should have at home and the product provided by Flipkart is in great condition but the book inside is what you would expect of a book for such less a price.

    Quality not good

This edition does not do justice to the masterpiece that it holds. Pages are very thin, font is too small. Overall not very enjoyable because of the low quality of this book. However the story is awesome.

Not good quality paper and print

Paper quality and print seems like a cheap book that you can buy from street. Look for other editions available on flipkart I think collins prints are good.

About the book: the book is a flawless masterpiece. A classic.

    UBSPD Publications.

The story and flipkart dilevery is amazing. The books ? The UBSPD publication books are just too disappointing. They remind me of the government books issued in the 7th grade. The paper quality, the font and just everything else was disappointing. The cover however is nice. Anyone going to buy, please go for Harper Or Penguin Publications, trust me they are worth it.

    Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice

I once borrowed this book from a friend and read it. But then I thought I must have this in my collection. So I ordered here. And now I have read the book twice. Jane Austen's novels are simple yet there lies surprising and thrilling moments. She has highlighted every character with nitty-gritty. I would recommend this book to everyone who are willing to know the 19th century generation because it is a classic book. And I'm happy with the flipkart delivery. No muss,no fuss.
