    Pride and Prejudice is a particularly interesting and comical read for fans of Jane Austen. The romantic comedy is one of the author’s best works and revolves around the growing relationship between Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy.

    Summary of the Book

    Elizabeth is an intelligent and lively woman who has four beautiful sisters. Their mother’s only wish is for her daughters to be married off to wealthy and reputable men. Elizabeth meets the proud Darcy at a party that is taking place near her home. Her first thoughts about him are that he is snooty and so decides that she wants nothing to do with him. However, they get talking and, as time goes, realize that each of them has started to grow more and more tolerant to each other. The story reveals a lot about the society of the time in which the story is set.

    Jane Austen was an English novelist, best remembered for her works of romance literature. She has also written: Emma, Persuasion, Mansfield Park, and Sense and Sensibility.

    Pride and Prejudice was adapted into several films, most notably in 1940 starring Greer Garson and Laurence Olivier, and in 2005 starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen.

    The book will never fail to leave a long standing impression in your mind and is a great gift to us. Such a beautifully written classic and romantic piece of work.
    It might be difficult initially to get along but later on, you will never be able to put it down until you reach the last page.

    Austen's best. Singular story line.Engaging characters.Beautiful language.Ample humour. And the adorable Lizzy and Darcy. If you have not read it yet please do and you will understand it's a work whose fame is well-bestowed.The product is also good and the font easy on the eyes. Go for it!

    Review as a literature Student

    This is part of my syllabus and I've been searching for this book at low price from really long. Its Unabridged version which reduces chances of missing Jane Austen's super classy and romantic dialogue and even maintains my interest of entertainment. I saw previous comments regarding the font size. I've read other editions of the same novel costing 400bucks but with really small fonts but this is so apt. It has got perfect readable font size.     I once borrowed this book from a friend and read it. But then I thought I must have this in my collection. So I ordered here. And now I have read the book twice. Jane Austen's novels are simple yet there lies surprising and thrilling moments. She has highlighted every character with nitty-gritty.     The book was received in good condition.
    However, it was a day late.
    Also, no cute flipkart bookmark was inside.
    Although, if you are buying the book, buy a better version, as this is a classic one should have at home and the product provided by Flipkart is in great condition but the book inside is what you would expect of a book for such less a price.

    Full of unforgettable characters!

    Though it might be hard to believe when you read it in today's age...this book was one of the early kinds of feminist literature that was written in England. Essentially, it is a love story but is definitely a satirical one. In bits autobiographical and very "English", this is a book that everybody should read at least once in their lifetime.
    If you are new to classic literature, this would be the best book to begin a new kind of reading with :)
