The attacking play has been enhanced in this game; one can take command of another teammate when piercing the defenses of the opponent, during a throw-in or at a set piece. Due to the aforementioned feature, more precise player placement and runs can be accomplished. Teammate A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) is now much more realistic for the offense and defense; the players in your team will co-ordinate much better. New off-the-ball controls assist you in handling your team strategy even during dead-ball situations. Positional defending and zonal marking has been tweaked drastically as well, hence, players will have to work much harder in order to divide the defense of the opposition.
There is a marked improvement in collision detection, so players don’t run into each other in a disorganized manner. Furthermore, the graphics have been upgraded; facial expressions, movements and pitches have been reworked greatly. Other areas that have been improved include speed and physics. The gameplay has been made very seamless as ball control is much more responsive. Goalkeeping performance is now much more reliable too. This game features 30 stadiums out of which 1 completely fictional.
