About Mark Tully
Mark Tully is the former Bureau Chief of BBC in New Delhi. He worked here for 30 years before he retired in July 1994. He has received many rewards and has written many books. Tully is a member of The Oriental Club and was made Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1985. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1992, and knighted in the New Year Honours 2002. He also received the Padma Bhushan in 2005.
