Commendable Job Done by Mr. Debroy
The packaging done by Flipkart was pathetic at the least. They wrapped the big corpus in thin plastic sheet and then they just put it in a big cartoon with NOTHING to prevent the corpus from rolling in any direction as a result of which my Box was torn. All books are intact though so I didn't return the product. They could have used those air pillows that we these days to put the thing firmly in place.

Brilliant
I'm very impressed with the product as well as the delivery. The set contains 10 books of Mahabharat. The narrative is very beautifully translated with the essence of the main Sanskrit text. But the set box is torn in sides, it's breaking down which is not good. However all the books are in good condition. An esset of lifetime for every Mahabharata lover!

I haven't actually read the books yet but I am confident it's pretty good as I bought it after much research. What I am amazed about is that I ordered the book on Sunday afternoon and the books arrived at noon the very next day. I was very apprehensive as there were reviews about the book having arrived damaged(as the package is very bulky) ..... But my books came well packed and in perfect condition. About the packaging: I got the set of books in a casing covered with plastic and without an extra cardboard box. (In the image I have put it in my own boxes)
The case is a bit torn off at the ends but manageable to arrange the 10 volumes.
The books are in good condition too.

OMG. The Package came is an amazing condition. The covering box was also in a sturdy condition and was brought in without any damage. The books are really big, unlink other novels, each book might contain pages more than about 800 900 i suppose. A person might take upto 5 to 10 months to complete the full set. But there's no rush.

Perfect product and very nicely packed and delivered. Although books are 10 in number and are quite heavy, the box delivered to me was in good condition. It would need tape reinforcing if you want to keep for longer period though.

Q:Is the book divided into parva?
A:It is direct translation of the MB Critical Edition (and NOT some collection of stories). So, by that, yes, it is one Parva after another.
However, if you mean One Book=One Parva type, then NO.

Q:If I order this book will it come in a torn state, as mentioned by all the buyers in the review?
A:Yes. The box is too thin and lacks strength for holding the Book set. Even after handling with care, it got damaged. I had to put many tapes to keep it in shape.
