Author Info | - Hailing from the land of five nourishing rivers in Punjab, the lush green fields, the foot-tapping Bhangra beats accompanied by dhols, and the cradle of hospitality, Jasjot brings her culture of home and hearth to the Garden State. She considers her family and unwavering faith to be her backbone. If Jasjot is not working on creative projects or trying out new recipes, she is nestled with her cats.
As an educator, Jasjot considers herself as a lifelong learner. She has a Master of Philosophy in English Literature, a Master of Arts in English Literature, and Bachelors in English, Philosophy and Music Honors for Indian classical vocal. In addition to gardening and creating mosaics, music is one passion that simply fills up Jasjot's life. There is always some form of music, humming, harmonizing echoing from every corner of the house. Her most recent interests include learning how to play traditional Indian string instruments known as the Dilruba and the Rabab.
The Jasjot who existed before undergoing her arduous journey, might not have learnt how to play a new musical instrument, or taken a class in journaling, or learn how to Salsa. She might never have explored her untapped potential. The rebirth of spring is what opened up so many new doors and possibilities for her, on how to take control and deepen one's existence. She is proud to say that at this point in her life, Jasjot is both excited and eager to see what it is she will learn next. And the possibilities are endless!
