This book is indeed good if you know the basics of C. Good for learning basic concepts and programming in JAVA. Not for advanced users. Use this in the beginning and then refer to Complete Reference for further reading.

ANSI C is a well written book by Mr.Balagurusamy and it deals with the basics of c programming. the concept are explained clearly. Although the examples seem to be lengthy, they are quite easy if the reader is thorough with the concept.I would suggest this book for learning the concept rather for the examples. If you are good at concepts, writing a program wouldn't be a difficult task.
