1. Very well written. Each chapter gives you the insight about institutions working in India. Each chapter is written by the scholar/expert from the relevant field & experience which makes it worth reading.
2. Suitable to the changed syllabus (after 2013) of UPSC. You can use the contents & fodder of this book for GS paper II, Essay & Public Administration/Pol Science optionals.

It is a one-stop-get-all kind of book. It takes a critical look at the public institutions in India. It gives you a review of literature of works done on that institution and then goes on to see how well they actually fare in terms of functioning. Very good buy.
