I am a recent convert (one year) to running and have been logging a fair amount of distance every month (80~120 km). I was using an Adidas model which wasn't suited for long distance running. I got a gait analysis done and was recommended shoes with stability. I was recommended this shoe as it has adequate cushioning. The heel to toe dip is 4 mm. The shoe is very light. This shoe comes in the middle of the Faas models between a minimalist shoe and one which offers maximum cushioning, etc.

After using Faas 800 I have decided to transition to a more minimalistic shoe and what better than Fass 500 V2. Having said that, I must also inform that this is not exactly a minimalistic shoe but somewhere in between. For people who are not aware about the Puma Faas series, it starts from 100 till 1000. 100 means the most minimalistic and 1000 means the most traditional with extra cushioning. It's definitely much lighter than 800, but at the same time enough cushioning for a comfortable run...

These shoes are just awesome ,great for running ,training . you can wear them all day long and still no pain . very comfortable shoes .I highly recommend this product . I have tested it under very harsh conditions and they passed with flying colors.

I repent buying this shoes. Neon green doesn't look good for daily use, as I bought this shoes as a casual but comfort wear. The side print peeled off after 2 months of use. It has lost its sheen now though I used it with care if not utmost care.

The shoes is pretty light weight and can be used in pretty much all terrains. very comfortable and makes running enjoyable.
