The Puppeteer is a fun little platform game that will appeal to children and grownups alike. The game has been developed by SCE Japan Studio and it is designed for the PS3. The game is playable in a 2D as well as 3D mode. The 2D styled side scrolling movement is well contrasted with the 3D characters and items seen in the game. It comes with a PEGI rating of 12. It has been published by Sony Computer Entertainment.

In the game, you play as Kutaro, an unlucky boy who finds himself captured by the Evil Moon Bear King. He has lost his head because of the King and must now proceed to find it. He comes into possession of a magical pair of scissors which serves to be his primary weapon. With this weapon, Kutaro can cut through almost anything that has paper or cloth in its composition.

He needs to find his head as he proceeds along the magical world and finds that he can use other substitute heads that grant him various abilities and powers. With the right controls, you can also summon and direct Ying Yang who is a ghost cat that seeks out new heads for him and gives him information about new or foreign items. The campaign is extensive and fun filled, giving players an opportunity to fully explore the magical world of Kutaro in 2D or 3D.
